Materials Planner

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
- Create, review and release manufacturing and/or purchase orders in a timely manner; expedite, cancel, defer as needed. Material managed can include raw material for manufacture, manufactured WIP and Finished Goods, purchased Finished Goods, and Finished Goods acquired from intercompany sources.
- Make necessary revisions to existing production schedules as business needs change and communicate with affected parties.
- Monitor and track material flow to identify bottlenecks and characterize usage. Identify, resolve, and forecast problems and potential solutions to inventory; and communicate with appropriate personnel.
- Communicate lead times and respond to inquiries on customer orders.
- Participate in the Sales, Inventory & Operation Planning (SIOP) process
YOU HAVE:
- Post-secondary education in business or supply chain considered an asset.
- 2+ years of relevant work experience, preferably in an international environment
- Strong MS Excel skills (able to sort, format, run formulas, pivot tables, Vlookup, etc).
- Experience with SAP software is strongly preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a professional presence with an ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to perform in an international team and ready to adapt the daily schedule to accommodate global interaction
