Product Certifications Engineer

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Be the point person for obtaining all required product certifications such as UL, CSA AEx/ATEX/IECEx/UKEx for Chemelex products to have maximum global reach

• Use your knowledge and experience as a member of dynamic cross-functional project teams bringing new products to market with the proper certifications and supporting changes to existing products that require certification updates.

• Support internal and external certification audits, maintain inspection records, and collaborate with the appropriate departments to resolve variances

• Participate in the ever changing and challenging Standards Development arena.

• Educate both internal and external audiences on Standards and Certification requirements through training and technical papers

• Propose and implement process improvement through implementation of Digital Solutions

• Ensure Chemelex products continue to meet and exceed certification performance and construction requirements

• Be part of a global, energetic and collaborative Product Approvals team

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or other relevant discipline

• Minimum 2-5 Years Chemelex Business and Product experience OR Similar Industry/Business experience in similar role.

• Experience working with external certification agencies, such as UL, CSA, Intertek, FM.

• Familiarity with Global Hazardous area certifications such as Class & Division, AEx, ATEX and IECEx is a plus.

• Excellent Self-Organizational and Project Management skills

• Excellent verbal, writing and negotiation skills

• Record of ability to collaborate across all functions of the business

• Ability to travel up to 25% domestic, and international

• Ability to adapt and thrive in changing business environment
