We’re hiring an HR Manager to support our Projects & Services (P&S) business both globally and locally. This role reports to the Vice President of Human Resources and is a key partner to the VP of Projects & Services, responsible for shaping talent and succession strategies, aligning with global HR to drive organizational capability, and supporting leaders across project execution, field service, and engineering. At the same time, this role provides essential day-to-day HR support to employees in Houston, Pasadena, and Baton Rouge, handling employee relations, onboarding, performance, and local engagement needs. Key Responsibilities 

 

Strategic Business Partnership – Global Projects & Services 

  • Partner closely with the VP of Projects & Services to understand business goals and workforce priorities.
  • Shape and deliver the global human capital strategy for Projects & Services in partnership with HR Centers of Excellence and global HR colleagues.
  • Drive succession planning and talent actions across global project management, field services, and engineering teams.
  • Provide thought leadership on organizational design, career paths, and critical talent development across a matrixed global footprint.
  • Act as a connector across regions, ensuring alignment on global people strategies while being sensitive to local needs and compliance.

Tactical HR Support – Houston, Pasadena & Baton Rouge 

  • Serve as the primary HR point of contact for Projects & Services employees across the Houston, Pasadena, and Baton Rouge offices.
  • Manage employee relations, performance management, coaching, investigations, and conflict resolution with fairness and a focus on business outcomes.
  • Support the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, job changes, offboarding, and day-to-day HR transactions, partnering with Shared Services and COEs where appropriate.
  • Lead local engagement initiatives, manager capability building, and team development efforts aligned to our values and business priorities.

You Have

  • Bachelor's degree required; HR or business-related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including experience in both strategic HR business partnering and hands-on generalist work.
  • Experience supporting technical, engineering, or project-based teams preferred.
  • Strong understanding of US employment laws and practices; global HR exposure a plus.
  • Proven ability to influence senior leaders, navigate ambiguity, and manage priorities across global and local contexts.
  • Skilled in balancing strategic thinking and tactical execution, no job is too big or too small.
  • Experience in high-growth, private equity, or carve-out environments preferred, but not required.
  • The ability to travel 20% if not located in the Houston, Texas area.
