Design Engineer
WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
- Responsible for research & development and design of new or existing products.
- Apply engineering techniques to design and/or manufacture products at the lowest overall cost and enhance product value to the customer by either Project, Product or Value Engineering.
- Provide engineering design and analysis within assigned project scope of work. This may include layouts, specification development, and engineering drawings. Assumes responsibility for cost, schedule, quantity, and budget control for the engineering scope of work.
- Develop resolution of problems of limited scope following standard procedures.
- Use sophisticated software such as NavisWorks, SmartPlant, AutoCAD and our in-house programs TRACERLYNX and PROMAN to optimize our design process.
- Perform various engineering and circuit design tasks within our innovative paperless workflow process.
- Proactively establish customer relationships at appropriate levels and manage client expectations relative to technical execution methodologies, scope, schedule, progress, and technical change management. Impact to the work in own department and occasionally to other areas and functions.
YOU HAVE:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Science, or related field.
- Possess proven time management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to present and influence views in a clear and compelling manner.
- Previous heat tracing, power design, and/or field engineering experience is an asset, but not required.
