SAP Team Lead - SCM
The Clarks SAP SCM Team will be expected to liaise with the internal business teams, advisory partners and external implementation partners, to facilitate the continuous improvement and support of Supply Chain Planning and Execution Process. The core of the Role is managing the sub-team of 3-4 external Supply Chain consultants to lead the project-based changes and resolve the day-to-day incidents. The successful candidate will gain experience in a broad range of the state-of-the-art global trading and supply chain planning solution integrating with SAP, as well as the proven business models of a brand owner in a global organization.
What You'll Be Doing
Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Lead and manage SCM workstreams within projects, from scoping and design through to execution of formal and rigorous test cycles.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end processes, integrating SAP SCM with other SAP modules (APO, GTS), Blue Yondar and Centric, and regional specific Warehouse Management System.
- Lead and manage third parties, suppliers, and team members effectively.
- Interact with all levels of the business and IT, explaining complex ideas and concepts in an accessible manner.
Project Delivery & Management
- Drive SAP-related projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and timelines.
- Apply project methodology and governance processes to change control, system development life cycle, and regression testing.
- Conduct workshops to elicit and agree on requirements, ensuring clear communication and documentation.
- Write functional and technical specifications based on business requirements.
- Manage requirements scope and disposition through process compliance, gap analysis, integration testing, and user acceptance methodology.
- Provide knowledge and input on the system implications of business process changes.
Application Management
- Support business-as-usual activities and manage incident escalation processes.
- Cultivate innovation and demonstrate strong analytical skills to evaluate information from multiple sources.
- Work with interfaces and integration to SAP GTS and APO and third-party supply chain planning systems.
- Utilize ABAP debugging skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of all ERP SCM & Procurement configurations, including Inbound/Outbound Delivery, Shipment and different procurement business processes
- Integrate SAP ERP with other systems such as e-commerce platforms, EDI, POS, and warehouse management.
- Partner with divisional and regional business process owners on system requirements, processes, and systems.
- Maintain in-depth functional and business process knowledge of target applications.
- Support process improvement and change initiatives, seeking opportunities for systems consolidation and simplification.
- Work with the global governance team to ensure proposed solutions align with global standards.
- Identify consolidated, worldwide target processes and support end-to-end processes with an intermediate-level understanding of system touch points.
- Provide end-user support and training as required on all applicable systems
What You'll Bring
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- 7 years of experience in SAP SCM consulting, with at least 2 years in a team lead or management role.
- Proven consulting skill with hand-on experience to deliver at least 3 end-to-end SAP projects with successful results
- Proven experience in the retail and wholesale industry.
- Strong understanding of various sales business models.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Experience working in small elite team to manage external services suppliers.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage third parties and suppliers.
- Experience in working with global teams with different cultures and ways of working
- Strong problem-solving skills to articulate problem, analyse options, and implement solutions that address the root cause.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and communicate effectively with internal team members at all levels
- Ability to make risk-based decisions under pressure.
