Position Summary:

As a Line Cook, you are responsible for the preparation and execution of high-quality dishes that reflect our upscale dining experience. You’ll work closely with the culinary team, maintain high food safety standards, and ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control.

This description is a summary of primary responsibilities and qualifications.  The job description is not intended to include all duties or qualifications that may be required now or in the future.  The Hotel operates 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, so operational demands require variations in shift days, starting times, and hours worked in a week.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook food to chef specifications and guest orders, ensuring consistent presentation and quality.

  • Follow daily prep lists and recipes, and assist in planning prep for future shifts.

  • Maintain proper storage, labeling, dating, and rotation of all food products.

  • Monitor and log food temperatures and equipment performance.

  • Ensure workstations and kitchen equipment are cleaned and sanitized per health and safety regulations.

  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and management.

  • Assist other kitchen team members as needed and perform additional duties as assigned.


What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of experience in an upscale kitchen is required.

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent is helpful.

  • Flexibility: Must have open availability including nights, weekends, and holidays as required by business demands.

  • Skills:

    • Strong knowledge of broiler and sauté cooking techniques.

    • Familiarity with kitchen equipment and safety/sanitation standards.

    • Ability to follow recipes, portion control, and maintain consistency.

    • Comfortable working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

  • Certifications: Valid Food Handler Card required.

  • Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work in varying temperatures.

    • Standing, bending, twisting, and walking for extended periods.
