Job Summary
As a Laundry Attendant, you will be responsible for the cleaning, processing, and distribution of hotel linens and terry. You’ll operate laundry equipment efficiently and safely, keep your work area clean and stocked, and report any issues or maintenance needs to supervisors. Your work helps ensure that our guests always receive high-quality amenities throughout their stay.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Operate washing, drying, ironing, and folding machines according to departmental and equipment specifications.

Sort soiled linen and terry by classification and severity of stains; determine items for rewash or discard.

Treat stained or damaged linens as appropriate and maintain inventory of discarded or unusable items.

Fold, stack, and organize clean laundry into designated bundles by type and size for distribution.

Restock housekeeping closets with clean linen and supplies as needed.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area and equipment throughout the shift.

Remove lint and debris from dryer filters regularly and clean all machinery as scheduled.

Monitor chemical and water usage to maximize efficiency.

Report equipment malfunctions, supply shortages, and linen damage to supervisors promptly.

Follow OSHA safety standards and hotel procedures for the use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.

Assist fellow housekeeping team members as needed.

Turn in lost and found items and guest room keys as required.

Maintain a neat, clean, and professional appearance in accordance with uniform standards.

Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

No prior experience required; on-the-job training will be provided.

Ability to communicate in English sufficiently to follow safety procedures and simple instructions.

Basic understanding of cleaning practices, equipment operation, and chemical safety preferred.

Strong attention to detail and time management skills.

Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.

Flexible availability including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.
Physical Demands

Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.

Frequent bending, twisting, reaching, and standing required throughout the shift.

Must be able to load/unload washers and dryers and fold linens continuously.

Requires standing and movement throughout the entire shift.

Must be comfortable working in a warm, humid environment.
