Job Summary
As Housekeeping Supervisor, you will supervise, support, and motivate Room Attendants, Lobby Attendants, and Housepersons to ensure guest rooms and public areas meet the highest cleanliness standards. You’ll provide leadership, hands-on support, and ensure tasks are completed efficiently while fostering a positive team environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervise and inspect guest rooms, hallways, and public areas to ensure cleanliness, appearance, and proper stocking of supplies.

  • Train, assign, and monitor the work performance of housekeeping team members, offering coaching, instruction, and support.

  • Ensure linen and supply closets, as well as housekeeping carts, are clean, stocked, and organized according to standards.

  • Respond promptly to guest requests for extra items (towels, pillows, blankets, etc.) and ensure VIP rooms are properly prepared.

  • Check all vacant/ready, stayover, and out-of-order rooms daily; communicate room status to Front Desk and Maintenance.

  • Report all maintenance issues and safety hazards in guest rooms or public areas to the appropriate department.

  • Identify showrooms for Sales Department and ensure VIP amenities are in place.

  • Foster a clean, safe, and productive work environment through proper use of PPE, adherence to procedures, and by reporting any incidents.

  • Maintain grooming and appearance standards for yourself and team members.

  • Turn in all lost and found items and guest room keys promptly.

  • Assist other housekeeping personnel when needed and perform additional duties as requested by management.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

  • Minimum six months of supervisory experience or one year of housekeeping experience required.

  • Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills.

  • Ability to prioritize, delegate, and follow through on tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to read and write basic English to complete reports and communicate effectively.

  • Skilled in time management and problem-solving.

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to stand and walk for long periods throughout the shift.

  • Frequent twisting, bending, stooping, reaching, and climbing stairs.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull heavy housekeeping carts.

  • Must be able to work on feet continuously and operate housekeeping equipment.
