Job Summary
As a Busser, you’ll work closely with the food and beverage team to support all aspects of table service, from setting and clearing tables to delivering water and bread and helping maintain a clean, organized dining space.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Clear dirty table settings quickly and prepare tables for resetting. Promptly reset all service ware according to standards.

• Ensure tables are clean, properly set, and ready to receive guests.

• Serve guests with water, bread, and butter to begin their dining experience. Replenish as needed and assist with guest requests throughout service.

• Help servers by delivering food trays, pre-bussing tables, and refilling beverages.

• Maintain stock and cleanliness of service stations throughout each shift, ensuring silverware, linen, and condiments are readily available.

• Fold napkins, roll silverware, and prepare items for future meal periods.

• Transport dirty tableware to the dishwashing area and handle glassware with care.

• Perform general cleaning tasks and respond to guest spills or special cleaning requests using hotel cleaning products and safety protocols.

• Support a safe, sanitary dining environment by following health and cleanliness standards.

• Adhere to all safety and security procedures and company policies.

• Maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance at all times.

• Turn in lost and found items and report any safety concerns to the supervisor.

• Assist other restaurant team members when needed and complete any other duties as requested by management.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of food and beverage service etiquette and table settings preferred.

• Must have or be in the process of obtaining a current Food Handler Card.

• Ability to understand and follow basic English instructions.

• Knowledge of liquor laws and how to recognize and avoid serving to minors or intoxicated guests (when assisting with alcohol service).

Physical Demands

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.

• Ability to push or move loads up to 100 pounds on a hand cart or truck.

• Constant walking and standing throughout the shift.

• Frequent twisting, bending, stooping, reaching, talking, hearing, and smiling.
