Job Summary

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the successful leadership and execution of mortgage servicing division projects that are cross-functional and have a high degree of complexity. This position sets project timelines and milestones, facilitates, manages and coordinates project activities to ensure delivery of assigned tasks with acceptable timeframes up to project completion.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Uses proven Project Management tools and methodologies to define and execute projects within defined guidelines and successfully manage projects through to completion.
• Acts as the central point of contact for project-related activities. Facilitates project meetings, holds project participants accountable, creates and distributes meeting minutes, reviews and distributes project documents, maintains project schedules and milestones, ensures project owners/contributors adhere to set timelines, budgets and deliverables.
• Manages and reports on changes to business requirements, project scope, and project schedules using appropriate, defined communication channels.
• Forms collaborative partnerships with all levels of staff, including sales, operations, technology and other departments. Manages conflicting points of views to arrive at creative and responsive solutions. Influences completion of project activities through dotted line relationships.
• Manages day-to-day project activities and makes sound decisions based on project management experience and knowledge of the business/company/industry.
• May act as a mentor to junior project management staff.
• Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

Education

• Bachelors degree in equivalent Business, Finance or related field required

Experience

• Minimum of seven years experience in project management lead role required
• PMP certification preferred
• Mortgage Servicing/Originations experience required
• Must have demonstrated experience running multiple, cross-functional projects at the same time

Functional/Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of project management techniques and tools
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and engage all levels of the organization including senior management and executive committee
• Ability to drive results, resolve issues and manage risk to meet overall project goals and objectives
• Ability to develop strong client and working relationships with the team
• Proficient in project management software such as Microsoft Project, Excel and PowerPoint
• Demonstrates ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience handling geographically distributed, culturally diverse work groups with strong team management, leadership and coaching skills.
