Job Summary

The Business Systems Analysis Lead is responsible for leading a team of business analyst professionals who own the requirements, elicitation, effort-estimate scoping, design, analysis and functional specification development activities for operational technology projects or programs.

Working closely with business stakeholders and team members, this role actively supports project and change management lifecycle.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manages work assignments and activities of the business systems analysis team and provides functional, technical and process leadership. Formulates performance. standards, conducts evaluations and initiates personnel actions. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure effective and efficient operations
  • Collaborates and strategizes with business leaders to understand need and recommend operational technology solutions.
  • Manages the systems change request process and ensures team meets project timelines. Reports out on project milestones and status updates. Supports the initiation and planning of projects, including facilitating the definition of objectives, scope, and deliverables, ensuring the project is set up for success.
  • Manages and train business systems analysts in all aspects of the project lifecycle from initiation to closing to ensure that the technical solution meets business needs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

Education

  • Bachelors degree in business related field or equivalent work experience required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required

Experience

  • Minimum seven (7) years progressive mortgage experience
  • Minimum two (2) years leadership experience preferred. May be substituted with exceptional mortgage subject matter design experience.
  • Experience with implementation of loan origination system and/or vendors offering mortgage-related origination software products preferred
  • Working knowledge of regulatory and compliance issues preferred.

Functional/Technical Skills

  • Ability to motivate people, instill accountability and achieve results
  • Ability to develop and motivate staff to maximize full potential and ensure the mission readiness of all team members
  • Strong working knowledge of all aspects of the mortgage origination process, including underwriting guidelines, mortgage loan documents, and consumer lending compliance
  • Experience in using or supporting mortgage origination system.
  • Organizational and project management skills must be able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical, oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work with others and independently as the situation requires.
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills. Ability to interact effectively with external and internal clients across departments and locations.
  • Ability to develop and maintain solid partnerships with business and IT stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills

Environmental/Physical Demands

  • Some travel may be required.

Work is typically performed in a standard office environment.
