Job Summary
The Loan Delivery Specialist provides support for the Capital Markets Department. Specifically, the Specialist will be primarily responsible for all conventional loan delivery to the GSEs and other investors as well as ensuring the timely purchase of such loan by the investors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Uploads collateral data to Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and other investors via various Loan Delivery Systems. This requires a thorough understanding of Planets loan origination systems.
- Clears credit eligibility edits to ensure a successful and timely delivery. This requires close communication with other departments within Planet, such as Underwriting and Closing.
- Manages commitment pipeline and reconciles position with investors. Monitors for loans requiring extension and provides updates to senior management on expected loan purchase dates and dollar amounts (for critical cash management purposes).
- Reconciles purchase advices to ensure the expected price is received from the investor. Updates the Loan Origination Systems with Key data regarding the loan delivery process.
- Performs miscellaneous tasks as required and that typically require a working knowledge of MS Excel.
Position Requirements
Education
- Bachelors degree in business, information systems, accounting, or finance/economics, or equivalent work experience is required
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience
- Some experience in Mortgage Capital Markets, Post Closing or Underwriting required.
- Familiarity with mortgage-based Loan Origination Systems preferred
Functional/Technical Skills
- Proficiency in MS Office with strong Excel
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and maintain focus in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively across several departments
