Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - Infectious Disease

Location: Novant Health Infectious Disease

Hours: Part Time - Less than 24 hours/ week

Summary: 

Join our dynamic team at Novant Health's Infectious Disease as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA). In this pivotal role, you will provide direct nursing care in a fast-paced medical office environment, collaborating closely with our physicians and healthcare providers. You will play a crucial part in ensuring patients’ comfort and safety while maintaining a clean and organized workspace in line with our high standards. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Patient Assessment: Assist in evaluating patient needs and contribute to individualized health plans. 

• Documentation: Accurately complete all required documentation in the patient’s medical record, adhering to our practice’s charting policies. 

• Clinical Support: Prepare medical equipment and assist physicians during exams, treatments, and procedures. 

• Care Coordination: Schedule specialized consultations and coordinate appointments for diagnostic testing as directed by physicians. 

• Patient Education: Provide patients with information regarding their care and assist in addressing their questions and concerns. 

Education & Experience: 

• Required: High School Diploma or GED and completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program. 

• Experience: A minimum of one year of experience in a physician's office or clinic setting is required. 

Certifications: 

• Required: Current Medical Assistant certification ( within 90 days of hire)
