Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated Clinical Systems Specialist to join our dynamic team in Hilton Head, SC. This individual will play a pivotal role in ensuring the effective operation of our clinical systems, supporting physicians and clinical staff to optimize workflows and enhance the patient care experience. The ideal candidate is a skilled professional with a solid background in healthcare IT systems, clinical workflow design, and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide system expertise and comprehensive support to physicians and clinical staff, ensuring smooth operation of EMR/EHR systems and clinical technologies.
• Analyze and design clinical workflows to improve efficiency, reduce error rates, and ensure a seamless experience for both clinical staff and patients.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and maintain clinical systems and resolve any issues in a timely manner.
• Deliver exceptional customer service, addressing concerns with a patient-first mindset and resolving issues with precision and professionalism.
• Maintain thorough documentation of system configurations, workflows, and support processes for continuous improvement.
• Act as a liaison between clinical staff and technical teams to ensure that system updates, upgrades, and troubleshooting efforts align with user needs.
• Stay current with healthcare IT trends and best practices, ensuring Novant Health remains at the forefront of clinical technology innovation.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in healthcare IT, clinical systems support, or a similar role.
• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of healthcare information systems, particularly EMR/EHR systems. Experience with clinical workflow analysis, system integration, and data management is essential.
• Customer Service Excellence: Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service and support in a healthcare or technical setting.
• Problem-Solving & Organization: Ability to analyze complex systems, resolve issues efficiently, and maintain a high level of organization and attention to detail.
• Preferred Skills: Knowledge of software development, systems analysis methodologies, and experience with system implementation in a clinical environment.
