Inventory Technician

•    40 hour work week; 5-8 hour days or 4-10 hour days; No weekends or holidays

Position Summary

Performs duties to provide and maintain supplies within Surgical Services
•    Satisfactorily meets the Medical Center’s hospital-wide and department-specific competencies.
•    Satisfactorily meets initial and annual competencies for the Surgical Services Department.
•    Maintains working knowledge of inventory control system
•    Monitors inventory levels on a continual basis
•    Works with vendors as appropriate
•    Maintain accurate and complete documentation
•    Assists with orientation and training of personnel
•    Participates in Surgical Services process improvement projects
•    Works closely with other disciplines to provide safe, high quality patient care

Qualifications:

Education:
High school diploma or equivalent

Experience: 
Experience as a surgical scrub tech preferred. 

Other Qualifications:
Current BLS (American Heart Association certification only) certification
