Nurse Extern II
Position Summary
The Nurse Extern I & II role is designed to provide expanded clinical experience for professional (RN) nursing students and to assist the Registered Nursing staff by performing patient care activities, which includes participating in patient care planning, implementation, observation and evaluation, as well as reporting significant observations to a Registered Nurse.

Education/Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Nurse Extern I
- Have successfully completed the Fundamentals of Nursing course (usually first semester) of an accredited school of nursing, student must successfully pass all courses to remain in program
- Nurse Extern II
- Successfully entered their senior year of an accredited school of nursing and must pass all senior courses to remain in program.
- A letter of recommendation from nursing faculty
- Must have current BCLS certification
