Job Summary 

Registered Nurse to provide safe and effective nursing care to all patients through the performance of specific duties during surgical and other invasive procedures. Registered Nurse performs routine circulating and/or scrub duties according to AORN standards and established policies and procedures of the department of surgery.

Qualifications

Education:
1. Must have South Carolina Registered Nurse license or multistate licensure from another Compact State within the prescribed guidelines of the South Carolina Nurse Practice Act.

Experience:
1. One year of operating room experience preferred.

Other Qualifications:
1. Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification required
2. BLS certification (American Heart Association certification only) required within 6 months of hire or transfer into the department.
3. ACLS certification (American Heart Association certification only) required within 6 months of hire or transfer into the department.
