Nurse Extern I Progressive Care Unit PRN Days Position Summary:  

The Nurse Extern I role is designed to provide expanded clinical experience for sophomore/junior professional (RN) nursing students and to assist the Registered Nursing staff by performing patient care activities, which includes participating in patient care planning, implementation, observation and evaluation, as well as reporting significant observations to a Registered Nurse. Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to provide the very best care for our med-surg (PCU) patients in our advanced facilities that include a primary Cardiac step down unit.

THE NURSE EXTERN I Progressive Care Unit PRN Days CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE.    

Nurse Extern I Acute Care Unit PRN Days Job Requirements:  

Education:  

Must have completed the first semester of clinical experience in a Nursing Associates or Bachelor’s Degree program.  

 A letter from the school that states this or a current college transcript.  

 Certifications: 

Current American Heart Association BLS certification
