Position Type: Full Time - 30 hours/weekly
Work Schedule: Day Shift 3-10 hour shifts


Position Summary
Under the direction of the Department Director and/or Charge Nurse, the Registered Nurse provides safe, effective, and compassionate direct and indirect nursing care to a diverse patient population, ranging from infants to geriatrics, unless otherwise specified.

Key responsibilities include:
    • Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the healthcare needs of assigned patients
    • Delivering care in accordance with established nursing standards, policies, and clinical guidelines
    • Working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team
    • Maintaining a patient- and customer-focused approach to meet unit and hospital goals
    • Willingness to float to other comparable nursing units as requested

Qualifications
To perform this role successfully, the following qualifications and competencies are required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

Required Skills & Experience
    • Previous hospital experience preferred
    • Strong management and teaching abilities
    • Ability to assume the role of Charge Nurse, as needed
    • Demonstrates sound clinical judgment and team collaboration
    • Maintains a professional, compassionate, and adaptable approach in a fast-paced environment

Education & Certifications
    • Current, unrestricted RN license in the State of South Carolina
    • Completion of IV Therapy training or demonstrated IV competency within one year of hire
    • Maintains department-specific certifications and competencies
    • Current BCLS and ACLS certifications required
    • Advanced certification in specialty area and/or participation in professional nursing organizations encouraged
