Position Summary

Novant Health is seeking a dedicated and adaptable Certified Medical Assistant to join our Float Pool team supporting multiple physician practices in the Mount Pleasant area. This dynamic role involves providing direct clinical support to medical providers, assisting with patient care, and ensuring a safe, efficient office environment across various locations.

The ideal candidate is a skilled multitasker, comfortable working in diverse practice settings, and committed to delivering compassionate, high-quality patient care aligned with Novant Health’s standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist providers with patient assessments, medical treatments, exams, and procedures in accordance with clinical protocols.

• Prepare exam rooms and medical equipment, ensuring readiness for patient visits.

• Accurately document patient information, clinical data, and care plans in the electronic medical record following practice guidelines.

• Coordinate patient flow by arranging referrals, specialized consultations, and diagnostic testing as ordered by providers.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment adhering to infection control and safety policies.

• Adapt quickly to varying practice workflows and assist multiple sites as needed with flexibility and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required, plus completion of an accredited Medical Assisting program.

• Experience: Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a physician office or outpatient setting preferred.

• Certifications: Current Medical Assistant (CMA) certification and CPR certification required.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a diverse healthcare team.

• Ability to travel between multiple practice locations within Mount Pleasant as needed.
