General Summary:
Hilton Head Heart is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team. The LPN will provide high-quality care to patients of all ages. You will be responsible for patient care, assisting in clinical procedures, administering medications, performing diagnostic tests, and supporting the healthcare team to ensure an exceptional patient experience. Your role will be essential in promoting health and ensuring that all patients receive compassionate and effective care.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Patient Care: Provide direct patient care, including taking vital signs, obtaining patient histories, and documenting medical information in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Clinical Support: Assist physicians and other healthcare providers with exams, procedures, and treatments related to women's health.
• Medication Administration: Administer prescribed medications, injections, and immunizations under the supervision of the physician, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Patient Education: Educate patients on health management, including instructions on medication use, lifestyle changes, and prevention strategies related to women’s health.
• Diagnostic Testing: Prepare patients for diagnostic tests and procedures, including laboratory work, and assist with the collection of specimens as needed.
• Patient Communication: Serve as a point of contact for patients, addressing questions and concerns, providing follow-up care instructions, and ensuring a positive experience.
• Charting & Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient charts and documentation in the EHR, ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and organizational standards.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient care and a smooth clinical workflow.
• Infection Control: Adhere to all infection control policies and procedures, ensuring a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.

Education & Experience Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited LPN program required.
• Current state licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
• Current CPR/BLS certification required.
• Previous experience in a Primary Care or outpatient setting preferred but not required.
