We are seeking an experienced and versatile teacher to join our team at Concrete Christian Academy! This role is specifically designed to create a warm, inviting, and stimulating environment for children between the ages of 1 to 3 years old. Your role will be pivotal in developing their social, emotional, and educational skills through a variety of activities. While a curriculum is provided, we empower teachers to be innovative in implementing the curriculum in the most effective way that caters to the unique needs of the children in their classroom. In addition, the ideal candidate must be adaptable and able to provide high-quality care and education across all age groups within our center, from 6 weeks to 5 years old.
Amenities of the CCA facility include an on-site café, full gym, and beautiful views from the ceiling-to-floor windows of SRM's unique home office, a five-story concrete structure located right off 840. Concrete Christian Academy is located on the first-floor wing of the SRM home office. Previous experience in a daycare setting is preferred, but extensive experience in another setting (volunteer work, nannying, etc.) will also be considered. Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, implement, and evaluate developmentally appropriate activities and lesson plans that cater to the needs and interests of toddlers, while being mindful of the capabilities of all students in the classroom.
- Create a safe, nurturing environment where every child feels valued and supported.
- Monitor and document each child's progress and development, sharing outcomes with parents and caregivers regularly.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive approach to child care and education across all age groups.
- Manage classroom materials and resources, ensuring they are safe, clean, and well-maintained.
- Respond to the changing needs of the center, stepping into other classrooms as needed to provide support, supervision, and education.
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and team members.
- Attend and contribute to staff meetings and professional development sessions.
- Adhere to all state licensing regulations and CCA policies
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred. However, candidates with equivalent experience and good job longevity will also be considered even if they do not hold a degree.
- Experience in a licensed daycare setting is preferred, but we will consider candidates with other personal, professional, and educational experience.
- Demonstrated ability to create, plan, and implement age-appropriate activities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work across different age groups and adapt to varying classroom needs.
