Your Role
Material Handler
As a Material Handler, you’ll contribute to the Material Handling team’s high performance and engagement in safety and standard operating procedures. To help maintain organization within the warehouse or production facility, you’ll assist warehouse operations, which include stocking, moving materials or stock, loading/unloading trucks and climb up and down ladders. You’ll also prepare materials for shipping/receiving.
What You’ll Be Doing
Essential Functions
- Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs
- By hand, use of hand trucks, pallet jacks or other equipment, move freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage or shipping/receiving areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, or containers
- Loading and unloading vehicles
- Address and report equipment defects or maintenance needs, ensuring safe and efficient use
- Follow all procedures and know the equipment before using it
- Speak up when observing something that may be unsafe or someone performing unsafe acts.
- Efficiently perform work according to standard operating procedures
- Work together with other team members to accomplish tasks safely in a fast-paced production environment
- Maintain a safe work environment by sweeping and disposing of scrap or other items
- May perform special continuous improvement projects as needed

What We’d Like to See from You
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated attention to detail, deadline-driven, continuous improvement behaviors
- Able to lift 50 pounds
- Data entry, math and computer skills
- Forklift experience and able to maintain certifications on equipment, like forklift certification or pallet jack training, where required
Highly Desired Qualifications
- Experience using ERP’s and WMS systems
- Strong teamwork and communication skills to build a high performing team
- Open to work overtime, weekends and occasionally holidays
- One year’s inventory management experience
Preferred Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Previous warehouse or material handling experience
