Key Responsibilities:
Vendor Vetting & Regulatory Compliance—As part of global operations, you will help implement and ensure adherence to Transpak’s requirements and regional regulations in the AMER, APAC, and EMEA regions. Your role will include verifying vendor certifications and credentials. You will also perform background checks on logistics vendors to confirm they satisfy regulatory and contractual obligations. Managing and tracking carriers' Certificates of Insurance (COIs) will be a critical aspect of your responsibilities and ensuring adequate coverage.
Compliance Audits & Risk Management—Your role will be pivotal in performing regular compliance audits on vendors, warehouses, and logistics operations, contributing significantly to our risk management efforts. You will monitor and enforce security protocols. Compliance with Customer SOW requirements, such as data protection, NDA enforcement, and subcontractor vetting, will be another key aspect of your role.
Training & Compliance Awareness— Help implement internal compliance training programs for logistics and operations staff.
Documentation, Reporting, & Policy Development - Your role will involve significant input in developing and maintaining the Transpak Compliance Manual, incorporating global security standards. You will maintain compliance reporting and help formulate appropriate logistics compliance KPIs and metrics to track regulatory adherence across international locations. Managing compliance communications, including follow-ups for missing documentation
Qualifications & Skills:
- 2+ years of experience in logistics, logistics compliance, vendor management, or regulatory affairs in the supply chain industry.
- Experience with vendor audits, risk assessments, and compliance site visits.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with Logistics Operations, legal, IT, and security teams.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple compliance projects simultaneously.
- Microsoft Office savvy and Power BI is a plus
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with global freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers.
- Some knowledge of global trade compliance, security regulations, and transportation laws (e.g., FMCSA, TSA, TAPA, FMC, C-TPAT, CARB, UK CAA, IATA, DGI).
- Familiarity with cybersecurity policies related to logistics operations.
- Knowledge of data analytics and tools is a plus
