eProcurement Business Lead
Position Overview
Exciting times at FBM as we’re adding eProcurement capabilities to our Digital Commerce environment to serve a large and growing group of customers using their eProcurement/PO System software platforms to manage their Building Materials purchases! As result, FBM’s Digital Commerce team is seeking an innovative and strategic eProcurement Business Lead to help shape and implement our eProcurement strategies.
In this role, you’ll help drive initiatives to meet business objectives for specific customer groups by capturing, creating, articulating, and implementing strategies that enhance eProcurement efficiency, integration, and customer satisfaction. As the eProcurement Implementation Lead, you’ll play a critical role in developing integration strategies, guiding key decisions around third-party partnerships, and finding opportunities to increase eProcurement utilization, drive the expansion of share of wallet, and improve eProcurement operational efficiency. From ideation and implementation to onboarding and performance optimization, you’ll lead and be involved in every stage of the eProcurement process. You’ll work with cross-functional teams across the organization, including customers, field teams, product squads, technical teams, analysts, data, and pricing experts, to deliver a seamless and optimized eProcurement experience for both our customers, branches and associates.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent customer group(s) interests from an eProcurement lens within the organization. Be a liaison to those teams for all things ePro related.
- Possess a thorough understanding of the customer group(s), its strategic objectives and business model, its competitors, customer audiences and journeys, strategic partners, and value propositions.
- Collaborate with the customers, sales leadership and teams, branch leadership and teams and platform leadership, to develop, implement and track critical initiatives to increase and improve eProcurement utilization. This includes both Customer Success and Partner Success initiatives.
- Work with Outside Sales, National Accounts and Business leadership to identify ePro candidates and create targeted sales enablement programs to acquire new customers and grow share of wallet with existing.
- Assess new potential partnerships from a risk and return on investment standpoint. Evaluate a prospected partner’s technical capabilities and case. Ensure prospect meets FBM’s “business principles” and “Integration Standards”.
- Create Standard Operating Procedures for Onboarding of new eProcurement Solutions and Customers.
- Establish eProcurement Enablement KPI’s for new Partner relationships.
- Create training materials and support documentation for Branch associates in relation to existing and new partnerships.
- Participate as a key partner in eProcurement roadmap items while implementing and/or managing progress reliant on other internal teams.
- Create and present data driven business cases for future initiative prioritization and see approved initiatives through execution and ongoing ownership or handoffs.
- Create, update and manage Business Requirements for new/enhanced eProcurement solutions in collaboration with the Digital Product team
- Meet with Digital Product, Business and Technical teams to validate Business Requirements for different eProcurement solutions.
- Works closely with Digital Product, Digital Implementation and Technical teams on the deployment, testing and validation of requirements in the eProcurement solution and/or enhancements.
- Provide guidance and education to field leadership to gain consensus and drive adoption of the eProcurement experience.
- Develop comprehensive overviews of the channels and technology landscapes internally and externally to ensure there’s a clear understanding of current state vs future direction; participate as a SME for future developments.
- Provide eProcurement performance reporting and insights to Sales, Branch and other internal teams and leadership. Use the data to challenge the status quo in a productive and collaborative way to evolve eProcurement priorities and practices as needed.
- Handle and resolve technical issues of eProcurement customers, including changes in 3rd party systems and migration to automated transactions.
- Establish and maintain “Integration Standards” for implementations to ensure efficiency, scalability, and adoption of solutions.
Qualifications
- 5-7 years practical experience in managing eProcurement or digital procurement customer engagement.
- Qualifications either at educational level (Bachelor’s degree) or equivalent experience level.
- High level of technical knowledge of eProcurement and integration technologies (Hosted catalogs and PunchOut) and associated electronic integration protocols (cXML, XML, EDI, API) and the messages (Order, Confirmation, ASN, Invoice) and communication methods (AS2, HTTPS, VAN). Experience working with various eProcurement solutions (Hyphen, Sage, Ariba, Coupa, RealPage/OpsTech, Yardi and others).

- Project management experience and methodologies employed for efficient delivery.

Compensation
- Base: $130,000 - $150,000 Annually
- Bonus: 20% Target Bonus
- Total Compensation (Base + Bonus): The successful candidate could reasonably expect a Total Compensation Package in the range of $130,000 – $185,000.
