Position Overview

Foundation Building Materials (FBM) is currently seeking an effective Warehouse/Stocker Supervisor to lead our team.

Warehouse/Stocker Supervisors are a skilled group of individuals that masterfully organize work, manage the day-to-day operations of the warehouse and develop employees.  The position will also play a key role as we expand our sales activities to support our growing business.  At FBM we believe in doing business with integrity and being the Company of Choice for both our customers and our team.

Key Responsibilities

• Manages all warehouse activities in support of operations including but not limited to maintenance of building and grounds, receiving, storing, picking delivering, and shipping materials, and inside/outside sales.
• Maintains the appearance of the warehouse in a safe and orderly manner.
• Enforces safety guidelines and promotes a safe work environment.
• Maintains a high level of customer focus.
• Supervises direct reports to ensure that duties and responsibilities required of a warehouse assistant are accurate, timely and executed to company standards.
• Has an overall knowledge of activities within the team and be able to identify and takes corrective action for any problem areas.
• Maintains a full understanding of all products by identification, weight, and size.
• The Warehouse Supervisor must have an understanding and knowledge of operating a forklift.
• Verifies truck loads.
• Maintains a basic knowledge of trucks, forklifts, and other equipment to determine necessary repairs.
• Establish, build, and maintain customer relationships.
• Professional and courteous ongoing contact with customers before, during and after a sale.
• High school diploma, general education degree (GED), or equivalent work experience and/or training.
• Preferred building supply warehouse and supervisory experience.

• Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• After receipt of conditional offer of employment, must be able to pass drug screen/physical/background check.
