Position Overview

Foundation Building Materials (FBM) is now seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Manager to join our team.

Assistant Managers are a dynamic group of individuals that are capable of multi-tasking while successfully maintaining the highest level of customer satisfaction to both external and internal customers. At FBM we believe in doing business with integrity and being the Company of Choice for both our customers and our team.

Assistant managers will be paid according to the scale for their current position.  Temporary assignments outside of regular responsibilities will not affect compensation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain clean, friendly, safe, and positive work environment.
  • Ensure that their location is organized and “easy to do business with” for customers, employees, and vendors.
  • Responsible for management of the associates who work on their site.
  • Assist the Center/Branch Manager in conducting regular performance review for associates.
  • Participate in staffing decisions for their site.
  • Manage the inside sales function.
  • Customer selection and effective assignment of key account responsibility as directed by the Area Manager.
  • Implementation of sales strategy as directed by the Area Manager.
  • Implement vendor programs as directed by the Area Manager.
  • Establish value in company products and services and insure that there is adequate compensation for this value.
  • Responsibility for communication of site related issues to their Center/Branch Manager and Area Manager.
  • Ensure adherence to all corporate policy and direction.
  • Provide focus on the safety program.
  • Adhere to company policy as directed in company handbook.
  • Valid driver’s license required.  Must be a high school graduate or have GED
  • In addition to the skills and abilities noted above, the associate must be capable of the physical demands identified below.

 

Requirements

  • After receipt of conditional offer of employment, must be able to pass drug screen/physical/background check.
