IT Manager
Title: IT Manager US East
Reports to: Director of IT – BPC US & Canada

Supervises: IT Technicians, Technical Project Analysts
Summary:
The IT Manager will report the Director of IT. The IT Manager is responsible for participating in IT strategic plans and objectives for the east coast sites. Serves as the IT Representative of the local IT leadership Team, working closely with decision makers in all departments to identify, recommend, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions.
Responsible for overseeing and coordinating IT-related activities, as well as providing support for the daily operational activities of the IT department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with site leaders to execute technology strategies/projects that provide a competitive edge and deliver the maximum benefit.
- Participate in operational and strategic planning, fostering innovation, planning projects (portfolio), organizing and negotiating the allocation of resources.
- Opportunity to manage IT staffing, recruitment, and supervision (experience-level dependent) with support from Sr. Director of IT.
- Provide direction for the business application team in support of business operations.
- Manage all IT projects for the assigned regional site.
- Coordinate and manage project action plans and activities leveraging the IT resources with the region.
- Collaborates with the local leadership to identify, establish, and standardize, where applicable, technology applications regionally.
- Participate annually in the planning and budgeting of IT expenditures against the budget.
- Monitor the financial aspects of the IT department, report variances.
- Participate in the negotiation of vendor, outsourcer, and consultant contracts and service agreements.
- Monitor Service Level Agreements (SLA) in support of delivering high performance and quality service.
- Ensure the stakeholders understand the technology solution, overall solution delivery, and compliance to governance processes, architecture standards, etc.
- Educate the business unit on IT innovations and awareness programs.
- Monitor IT KPI (key performance indicator) report to site leadership.
- Manage the tasks around improvements and growth of the IT infrastructure and IT business applications.
- Oversee the compliance of Internal controls, IT policies, procedures, and best practices at each site.
- All other duties as assigned by the Director of IT – BPC US & Canada.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in management information systems, computer science, engineering and/or business, or equivalent work experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of service delivery, as well as successful service level agreement accomplishments.
- Knowledge of ERP software, preferably SAP, in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to evaluate business operations and implement technology that delivers strategic growth to maximize IT investments.
- Demonstrated project management skills, including project planning, budgeting, and process control.
- Understanding of application development and software development life-cycle concepts.
- Highly motivated self-starter with a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and ability to prioritize and execute tasks effectively under pressure.
- Strong communicator (both written and oral) with the ability to interact at all organizational levels, lead discussions, and present complex business requirements and solutions to audiences of all sizes with the appropriate level of detail.
- Excellent interpersonal, team building, leadership, organizational, time management, and project estimating skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
