Reporting to the Director, Business Transformation and Finance, the Senior Analyst, Corporate Finance and Investor Relations is an integral part of the corporate finance and investor relations teams, whose primary responsibilities are to ensure that the company’s internal budgeting requirements are fulfilled and to ensure all investor relations materials are both accurate and drive engagement with the capital markets community. The successful candidate will work closely with investor relations, tax, treasury and divisional finance teams within the company.
What you'll do:
Budgeting
- Coordination and communication of quarterly budget updates and 5-year internal strategic planning process
- Initial consolidation and roll-up of budgets
- Ongoing documentation, administration and maintenance of Hyperion Planning application
- Development and assistance of internal interest, tax, and share-based compensation models
- Monthly reconciliation of interest model identifying and explaining key variances;
- Assisting with scenario modelling and other ad-hoc tasks as required.
Investor Relations
- Helping prepare and review press releases
- Assistance with investor presentation materials (marketing, AGM etc.)
- Help maintain and update the corporate model
- Coordination of quarterly conference calls
- Assistance with quarterly analyst summaries
- Ongoing maintenance of Superior’s website
- Help prepare responses to questions from analysts and investors
Other Activities
- Continuous disclosure activities to meet regulatory requirements
- Approval and coordination of continuous disclosure activities
- Various filings with TSX
- Coordination with legal counsel related to various SEDAR filings
- Other activities as assigned, such as operational analysis and financial modelling.
What you bring:
- Undergraduate degree
- A CPA or CFA designation is considered an asset.
- Experience in corporate budgeting, investor relations, equity research or investment banking is an asset
- Developed interpersonal skills and organizational abilities
- Mature, well-developed interpersonal skills and organizational abilities
- Advanced understanding of excel and exposure to financial modeling
- Strong planning abilities and critical thinking skills
