The Cloud Architect will liaise with internal and external stakeholders to review cloud-based solutions and created strategies that align with business objectives. They will support the business to leverage cloud technologies and design, implement and support robust, secure and accessible solutions.

MACH design principles should be applied where possible across the enterprise architecture.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Hands-on experience on different integration platforms including AWS, Mulesoft Anypoint platform and Confluent Kafka
  • Experience of integrating systems based on MACH architecture
  • Knowledge of application of common system integration methods and technologies, such as Web services, APIs - SOAP, REST, GraphQL, BFF etc.
  • Experience of integration between a variety of applications, on-premise, cloud based or multi-cloud systems.
  • Define and improve integration patterns and approaches and future integration strategy
  • Lead partner development teams on integration approach and tools to be used.
  • Compare different integration approaches, assessing their benefits and limitations.
  • Ability to monitor integration platforms and tools and assist in incident management.
  • Assess cost/benefits for different integration tools and platforms, and suggest best integration approach
  • Collaborate with Solution architects, project managers, third party development partners and support teams
  • Build internal, external, and third-party supplier relationships for API and integration services.
  • Architectural Design: Design and develop cloud architecture solutions that are scalable, secure, and cost-effective.
  • Cloud Strategy Development: Collaborate with stakeholders to define cloud strategies that support business objectives and drive innovation.
  • Solution Implementation: Oversee the deployment of cloud solutions, ensuring they are integrated with existing systems and meet performance requirements.
  • Security Management: Implement robust security practices in cloud environments, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Automation and Orchestration: Develop automated workflows and processes to improve efficiency and reduce operational overhead.
  • Monitoring and Optimization: Continuously monitor cloud environments for performance, availability, and cost-effectiveness, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of cloud solutions.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud architectures, configurations, and procedures.

 

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience of working on Integration technologies and platforms.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in cloud architecture, cloud engineering, or related roles.
  • Certifications: Professional certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect are highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Strong understanding of networking, security, and storage in cloud environments.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates.
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools, including CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with cloud cost management and optimization techniques.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business language.
  • Leadership abilities, with experience in guiding teams and driving projects to completion.
