Purpose of the role:


As a member of the Sales team in France, and reporting to the Sales Director France-Italy, you will drive part of the sales of Griffith Foods products in France, to grow the business in alignment with the company’s strategic goals, by building and strengthening relationships with key customers belonging to QSR Foodservice segment.


Responsibilities:

Customer Relationship Management

  •  Cultivate and strengthen partnerships with customers to enhance revenue and margin growth.
  •  Drive acquisition of new customers aligned with business goals.
  •  Organize and lead customer visits, workshops, and engagements to identify proactive and reactive opportunities.

Sales and Commercial Strategy

  • Negotiate prices to align with strategic objectives, focusing on volumes and margins. 
  • Prepare offers, draft contracts, and ensure timely follow-ups. 
  • Proactively enhance profitability through price adjustments, value engineering, and optimization of the product mix. 
  • Guarantee market share and manage customer portfolios to minimize risks and secure payments. 
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and innovations, sharing insights with the business. 
  • Actively contribute to sales meetings and align with the strategic goals. 
  • Manage and maintain account plans, ensuring alignment with country and segment objectives. 

Operational Excellence

  • Provide accurate customer forecasts to facilitate effective planning and scheduling. 
  • Coordinate technical and commercial activities to reach projects’ hit-rate targets
  • Share customer feedback and complaints with relevant teams for resolution, by ensuring clear and effective communication, both internally and with customers. 
  • Deliver appropriate sales reports after customer interactions, market observations, or competitor analysis. 

Team Collaboration

  • Collaborate closely with R&D, Culinary and Marketing Teams to orchestrate a dynamic pipe of projects with the customers, integrating the entire Griffith Foods solutions (seasonings, sauces & marinades, coating systems, functional blends,)
  • Partner with internal teams, including customer service, finance, supply chain, to support business needs.
  • Ensure proper execution of European/French strategies.
  • Support the broader sales team as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree preferably in Food Sciences, Business Administration, Economics or Equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in sales of ingredient solutions (ideally seasonings, sauces & marinades, or coating systems) in BtoB preferably for the QSR Food service market
  • In-depth knowledge of the food industry and market characteristics and trends.
  • Proficiency in English and French is required (Italian is a plus).
  • Proactive mindset, and able to work independently and as a part of a team.
  • Strong commercial acumen, and proven negotiation skills.
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal and organizational abilities.
  • Willingness to visit customers frequently in France (mainly based near Paris)
  • Requirement to come frequently to our French office.
